last night was too ridiculous...definately needs a recap.

the plan was to meet eden and her friend kate at somerset and the 3 of us would drive together to Freedom Hill to see Travis Tritt. So I meet them at like 6:20, jump in her car and we're off...sorta. We get to 16 & Livernois and the battery light comes on so we're like "um...what do we do now?" so smart me says "maybe you should turn the car off then turn it back on" cause we were at a red light. So eden does that and...the car doesn't start. UGH! So we're sitting in the middle of big beaver with a broken car for like 10 minutes and eden's dad's only suggestion was "get out and push it off the road" mind you all of us are in miniskirts...so yeah...definately not. So these boys in a real beat up old pickup truck drive by and Kate yelled to them to help us...so they turned around, blocked another lane of traffic and jumped Eden's car. It worked and we were off...sorta. We offered to give them our extra vouchers to the concert for helping us out but turns out that's where they were going anyway so they were like "well we'll follow you guys there to make sure the car is alright." The car is sorta going...it's moving anyway...very slowly...and none of the gauges are working. We come up to a giant hill and we're like "hell naw...car is not gonna make it" so we pull over again and they tried to jump the car again. It worked...but not well...so we just pulled into a Wendy's and ditched the car. Now we were rideless. So we ask the boys if they could give us a ride to the concert, they agree...and 5 of us pile in a truck barely big enough for 4. I dripped sweat on Eden...it was hot. So we're in the line of cars to get into the venue and the police are directing traffic...so we can't keep 5 people in a 2 person car ...so me eden and kate jump out on the side of the road and end up walking into freedom hill. once we get in we sit down on the lawn to look out for potential prospects to take us back to somerset once the concerts over. pretty much every person there was drunk, or creepy, or both, so we were having a hard time. we found a group of guys not drinking and we're like "they're taking us home" so 45 minutes into the concert we see them walk by again and kate runs up to them, explains things a little, and asks them to take us to somerset after. to everyone's surprise they agree. AND...they knew someone that was working pavillion and let us move up so we were pretty close to the stage. long story short, they were super nice & saved our lives...pretty much.

chicago in 20 days! i can't wait...probably gonna be the best thing ever...road trip with 4 lovely ladies - great music - pitstop in springfield on the way home to solidify our stephen kellogg groupieness - meh, no matter, i love it.

a real update? i know...i haven't updated since pretty much the day i moved in, so i feel it's only appropriate to write on my moveout day as well.

not gonna talk about the year at all...it was fun...lots of memories yada yada...

i've made great friends, but there will never be anyone to compare to my rochester darlings. i've missed you guys...jen and maho especially...way too much this year. not being able to talk and be silly every night, or sit in caribou (dang, i miss that place too) til 11 at night makes me sad. going home tomorrow is going to be the happiest thing in my life!

in conclusion...let's hang out a lot this summer...cause miss you friends!

haven't written in ages...really no reason to...nothing special has happened...

went to msu this weekend, hoping for a good time. which i found. the weirdest part is that i feel like my closest friends there are the ones i've know the shortest amount of time. and people change, i guess. sad as it is i haven't talked to my best friend in...weeks. except for the fight. which wasn't friendship destroying...just sad. i dont want to get involved though, so whatever happens, happens.

it was nice to be home. and up north with all my dad's crazy relatives. i met 4th cousins...that's a little crazy. and learning to polka is always fun. and, i want to marry a polish guy, that can polka...and likes polkas...and polish food...and COOKS polish food. yummmm.

moved in yesterday, it was relatively painless. liz is right nextdoor, so that's awesome. i'm getting along good with adriane, we actually talked last nite, which was cool. we had our floor meeting at 10, then i got back to the room and had a message from tim, so liz and i went down to his room. andy was there, so was aaron ellis, evan, ashley, and some other people i didn't know. it was cool though, better than just sitting around here. the bus ride back to north campus was so awesome, it was probably the last bus going up here that nite, so it was PACKED. there was talking to me and liz that was just blown out, there was some big frat party i guess. but ya know...not my style. adriane left at 8:30 this morning to go do some stuff at the international center, so i'm just sitting around right now. kinda bored...anabel doesn't get done doing stuff til 4, but i think me and sang are gonna go up to the hospital at 1 so sign up for volunteer stuff. blah.

leaving in 3 days...

left that house at 12:30 today, stopped at some small restaurant for breakfast. on the road again, got to aa around 2:30. stopped by bursley to see if i could take a look at my room, but they said i couldn't until move-in day, unless i was with adriane *my roomy*, cause she already moved in. went down to central campus to buy books and go to urban outfitters. got books, no clothes :( met adriane up at bursley at 5:30 and we went to go see the room. it's huge, and super nice. we've got a nice view of woods out our windows...pretty. futon won't fit, unless we do ultra rearranging, which i'm not sure i really wanna do, so i'll probably just do something creative with pillows and an inflatable mattress or something. went to dinner with adriane and her mom, it was awkward, but nice. she's so quiet, but hopefully we'll be able to talk and get along once i move in. not that we won't get along...but she just doesn't talk much, and whatever, so yeah...hopefully that'll get better, cause she's nice.

still grounded...haven't been doing anything lately...except playing Paper Mario...i hate my life. i've become so apathetic since i've been grounded, i just wanna leave here and be done with it. not really excited about moving in or anything, but it's just gonna be hectic til then. blah.

went up north with brad john max and maho this weekend. it was fun, kinda cold, but fun. i went tubing...that was exciting. i lost my most favoritist necklace in charlevoix...that is very very very sad. got home around 7...waiting for brad to get done running.

since we already know that i'm a nerd i'll skip that part and just say i went up to band camp last nite, and what a journey it was.

partied at kev's thursday nite (146 cans in 2 days...geez); woke up friday morning at 7 cause vicky was yelling at doug for waking her up so early; couldn't fall back asleep so i wondered around the house trying to find someone that was awake; i found kev so we talked then went and had "christmas" with vicky and doug; dave woke up a little later & vicky and doug wanted to sleep so me kev & dave went downstairs; i shared the magic of salad fingers with dave; waited for 4 hours for oceania to open so we could go get chinese; left kev's went to vals to wait for sarah...

sarah picked us up around 3:30 and...well...we didn't get to MSU til 6:30-ish. that trip took way too long and involved too many "loop arounds" and "take this road that i dont know the name of"; hung out at MSU with the band; got lost going back to the hotel; ate at subway; finally made it back; wanted to go swimming...pool closed at 10:00 so we couldn't; then we realized we didn't bring anything to do; walked to meijer at 11 to buy cards and candy; played euchre & ate candy & ice all night.

watched the performance today; finally met walter(!); came home

OH!and i saw
who would've thought i'd run into kevin again; i'm glad i did though.

this summer is turning out SO random...but I couldn't love it anymore. best summer ever. i'm hanging out and talking to so many people i never thought i'd really talk to after leaving highschool...not that i'm really gone yet. never knew mark davies was so cool. i got to hang out with ideene. dan velic called me today and said we should hang out. might go see an orchestra play led zeppelin music tomorrow nite. *schweet*

oh dear...last nite was so much fun. i stayed home most of the day just hanging out, then val called while i was watching a movie with my parents and asked if i wanted to stay at vickys...so yeah, val and katie came over at like 10 while we were waiting for vicky and andy to get done hanging out. i finished sewing my jacket...it's small at the waist, but i'm pretty impressed with myself. went to vicky's at like 11:30 and made lots of noise in her living room so kristina banished us to the basement where we played 3 games of Cranium...me and katie only won once. fell asleep around 3:30. went shopping at GLC today so i could get more sweatpants cause i'm lazy and dont like jeans.

sweet jesus...when andy first told me he planned on having mudwrestling at his house some time this week i though "hot damn, sweet i'm excited" but i was pretty sure it would just be another good idea that never happened. then last nite at tim's he said bbq/wrestling was on for today. since it rained all day i figured we might end up not doing it, but everything went according to plan, maho picked me up, we picked max up then went to andys...everything was all set up...and it was SWEET. cleaning off was a bitch though, cause it wasn't that warm out to begin with and the hose water was freezing. overall though, i rate it a 10.

i'd like to announce that vicky and i are officially awesome...and huge nerds.

not only did we not have dates or things to do on the fourth of july we sat on our asses and talked about customizing lj's for a good hour at least...but hell yeah! we did it...and they look awesome.

in other news...
i watched 50 First Dates tonite...it always amazes me that adam sandler is so hilarious/goofy but he's able to make the cutest movies

today was pretty cool...sat around for a while, did some cleaning...went up to kmart with mom + jon for jon's "interview"...maho picked me up and we hung out at her house for like a half hour til max + chris came to pick us up to go swimming. jen maho + i decided we'd rather tan...so we did that for a while, swam for about a half hour then brad + i left to go to DQ. came back to my house and hung out til he left to go up north at 9 :( he's gonna be gone all weekend...so sad. went to max's around 10, hung out with people there, was introduced to the new hookah...it's huge. stayed til about 12:30, dropped maho off, and here i am.

twas a day of reintroductions...

1. my mom started a new job and realized that one of the women she works with is the smick's old neighbor from Berkley...they had a son robbie who had the biggest crush on me and wrote me my first love letter...saw his senior picture...he looks the same...but older...it's crazy...i guess he remembers me too cause he told his mom about the letter...it's weird that he remembers...no one ever remembers me

2. at max's...justin lacamper showed up...went to preschool with him in ferndale i only know that cause when erin moved here she knew bob rotsted and justin both moved out here from there...and told me she'd introduce me sometime. never got around to that but i knew bob through school...just met justin...very cool kid...

it's just weird...my life seems to constantly run in circles...like re-meeting max after i met him a long time ago when he was friends with dave...crazyness, in a sweet way

so...i'm at u of m rite now...and i'm a loser for writing in this while i'm here rite? yes...because aa is the best place ever and i shouldn't be sitting in the basement of some dorm wasting my time. however...i have good reason. i'm waiting for henry to call...and he most definately was supposed to. i called him an hour ago and he was at his sisters and was gonna call me when he was done with whatever...and hasn't yet. so, yeah, whatever...i'll probably just hang out with mirae and this girl, taylor, that we met that goes to Adams.

last nite i went to henry's sisters house with him and mirae...sat around for a while, watched tv, ate ice cream...left there around 11, walked mirae back to the dorms then went to henry's friend's house. that was cool...there was 3 guys from troy there + henry's friend...which made me the only girl :( all the guys were cool though, i think 2 were from troy and the other used to live there? maybe...anyway, yeah...so henry just called...and we might go back tonite, but who knows...maybe i'll just stick with the girls.

15 minutes before i was supposed to leave for henry's then to stay the nite at maho's i rememebered i have to babysit at 7:30 tomorrow morning...shit, if i would've forgotten that could've been disasterous. don't really care that much though, it would've been semi-fun but lots of ia people i'm not familiar with and a bunch of drunk people i'd probably wish i wasn't familiar with...so yeah, it's not so bad. i'll be missing a nite of hanging out with jen and maho...but...who knows if they'd be gone or not...the plus side? get to make $50 tomorrow.
